Hype Digital Media is the UK based freelance web development and online marketing studio of Sallie-ann Thorp. I have a passion for developing creative, inspiring websites that are accessible, standards compliant and optimised for search engines.
About
My professional career in web developing kick started nearly 10 years ago on completing a BSc degree in Computing. Prior to working for my freelance studio I was senior web developer for Leicester College, managing their internal and external multimedia and before that a web developer at Christon Davies – a creative design agency based in Leicester. I now develop websites and web-based applications both for my own company Hype Digital Media and also for design agencies that outsource their projects to me.
I see myself as a Web Developer and general IT problem solver with the following skills; PHP, MySQL, XHTML, CSS, Content Management, E-Commerce, Open Source Software, Object Oriented Programming, Javascript, Accessibility, Flash and Actionscript, Search Engine Optimisation and online marketing.
When I'm not creating for the web and taking an interest in all things geek, I enjoy photography, snowboarding and surfing.
